In the morning, drive to Cai Be and board a local boat to cruise along the Mekong River. Visit family-run workshops producing rice pancakes, puffed rice snacks, and coconut candy. Enjoy a Mekong Delta–style lunch in the charming setting of an ancient house.

After lunch, continue cruising to a garden to sample local fruits and wines and enjoy traditional music before crossing the Co Chien River. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

This morning, discover the charm of Saigon as you visit some of its most iconic landmarks, including the Central Post Office and the Reunification Palace. You will also explore one of the city’s old apartment blocks, now home to stylish boutiques and cozy cafés, offering a glimpse into Saigon’s creative side. After enjoying a coffee, transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang, then continue by road to Hoi An.

In the evening, dive into Hoi An’s wonderful food scene with a guided foodie tour. Taste local favorites such as White Rose dumplings, Vietnamese pancakes, and the famous cao lầu. Stop by the well-known Bánh Mì Phượng, enjoy Hoi An chicken rice, and end the evening with a relaxing boat ride on the Hoai River, where you can release a floating lantern.

Escape the bustle of Hoi An for a morning at Tra Que Herb Village. Immerse yourself in rural life as you join local farmers in the fields, learning traditional techniques from seaweed fertilizing to harvesting. After your hard work, relax with a herbal foot massage before a hands-on cooking class. Learn the secrets behind some of Hoi An’s most famous traditional dishes. Using vegetables and herbs straight from the garden, cook tam huu, prawns and pork mixed with lots of herbs, and banh xeo, a savoury pancake served inside thin sheets of rice paper.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon, and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight from Da Nang to Hanoi.

In the afternoon, discover a different side of Hanoi on a walking tour through the Old Quarter. Wander through its narrow lanes and hidden alleys, where everyday local life still unfolds much as it has for generations. Visit a local family who has lived in this vibrant area for over 50 years, explore the bustling Dong Xuan Market, and sample some authentic Hanoi street food and drinks along the way. Your walk ends at the historic O Quan Chuong Gate, one of the city’s most charming old landmarks.

In the morning, leave Hanoi for Halong Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin.

Arrive at noon and proceed with check-in formalities. After a welcome onboard, lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board.

Overnight on Halong Bay.

Distances and journey time: 3hrs

Wake up to the fresh morning amidst the islands of the bay for breakfast (brunch on some boats) while enjoying the serene setting of the spectacular rock formations.

Mid-morning, cruise back to the port. Disembark and transfer 2.5hours to Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport for your departure flight.
