Xin Chao and welcome to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and assisted with fast-track service to make the arrival process easier. Your private guide and driver will then take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax.

Overnight in Hanoi

Depart the hotel for a walking tour to explore the famous Old Quarter, followed by Vietnam’s first university, the Temple of Literature, and the Museum of Ethnology. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant featuring authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional water puppet show, an art form created over a thousand years ago by farmers of the Red River Delta and later elevated to royal entertainment during the Ly and Tran dynasties.

Overnight in Hanoi.

In the morning, leave Hanoi for Halong Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin.

Arrive at noon and proceed with check-in formalities. After a welcome onboard, lunch will be served while cruising towards the bay. In the afternoon, enjoy some visits and/or activities (depending on each boat’s itinerary) or just spend some time relaxing on board. Towards the end of the day the boat sets anchor for the night among the karst formations. Dinner is served on board.

Overnight on Halong Bay.

Distances and journey time: 3hrs

Wake up to the fresh morning amidst the islands of the bay for breakfast (brunch on some boats) while enjoying the serene setting of the spectacular rock formations.

Mid-morning, cruise back to the port. Disembark and transfer 2.5hours to Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport for the flight to Hue.

Upon arrival in Hue, you will be greeted by your local guide and then transferred to hotel for check-in.

Start the tour at the Imperial Citadel of Hue, where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945, then continue to the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue’s best-preserved religious monument. Enjoy lunch at a local Vietnamese restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to the countryside to visit the Tomb of Tu Duc. Afterwards, continue to Khai Dinh’s Tomb, designed in a traditional Vietnamese style with European influences, making it uniquely different from the other royal tombs in Hue.

Before returning to the hotel, take time to stroll around Dong Ba Market with your guide. The market is one of Hue’s must-see attractions, with stalls teeming with color and activity.

Overnight in Hue.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Da Nang via the Pass of Ocean Clouds, then descend to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co.

Upon arrival in Da Nang, visit the Cham Museum, which houses the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. Continue to Hoi An, a major Asian trading port in the 17th and 18th centuries, whose architecture and relaxed lifestyle have changed little over time.

Transfer to the hotel.

Overnight in Hoi An.

This morning, visit Cam Thanh coconut village and paddle a bamboo basket boat through its forest, then head to Tra Que herb village for hands-on farming and cooking.

Overnight in Hoi An. 

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Da Nang Airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival, meet your guide and driver for a transfer to Cu Chi. Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch of local specialties before visiting the famous tunnels. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh

In the morning, drive to Cai Be and board a local boat to cruise along the Mekong River. Visit family-run workshops producing rice pancakes, puffed rice snacks, and coconut candy. Enjoy a Mekong Delta–style lunch in the charming setting of an ancient house.

After lunch, continue cruising to a garden center to sample local fruits and wines and enjoy traditional music before crossing the Co Chien River. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Free time at leisure, check-out time standard is at 12:00 then you will be transferred to airport for departure flight.
