Most nationalities require a visa for Vietnam before departure or a pre-approved entry visa (visa is issued on arrival at Vietnam’s International Airports). Still, there are certain foreign tourists are eligible to have Vietnam visa exemption. The detailed information as follows:

Vietnam visa on arrival

It is available for citizens of all countries around the world traveling to Vietnam by airplane. If customers enter Vietnam via land or sea port, they will need to apply for a visa in advance at the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in their home country or consider applying for the Vietnam e-Visa. Customers must get the visa approval letter prior to traveling to Vietnam. ANP Travel will assist you the process to obtain the letter. Please provide us the following information:

  • Arrival  date and  airport of entry
  • Full passport details (including names, nationality, date of birth, passport numbers and  expiry date)
  • Occupation

It normally takes five working days to get Visa approval letter. ANP Travel will send you a scanned copy of the letter to print it out and present the hard copy when boarding your flight to Vietnam. Please note that you are not allowed to enter Vietnam before the effective date mentioned in the letter or at an airport other than the one stated in the letter.

Please note that customers holding the following passports are not able to get Visa on Arrival to Vietnam:  Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Libya, Nigeria.

To apply for visa on arrival, applicants will need to prepare:

  • Passport with a validity no less than six months and at least 2 blank passport pages
  • Two recent passport size photos

Visa fee:

  • 25 USD for Single 1 month or Single 3 months
  • 50 USD for Multiple 1 month or Multiple 3 months
  • 135 USD for Multiple 1 year (US passports only)

Vietnam Visa Exemption:

There are some exceptions for citizens of ASEAN countries and Japan, Korea, Russia, Scandinavia and 6 countries in Europe. For more information, please visit here.

E-visa:

It is available for 80 countries.

Apply for the e-visa through Vietnam National Web Portal on Immigration here. The processing time will take around three business days.

To apply for e-visa, applicants will need to prepare:

  • Passport with a validity no less than six months and at least 2 blank passport pages
  •  One recent colour passport size photo in digital format
  •  Evisa fee of USD 25 (non-refundable)

**Note:

  • A printed copy of your evisa must be presented at the airport upon arrival.  For more information, please visit their FAQ section here
  • Evisa is only valid for a single entry

For Mekong River cruise from Cambodia to Vietnam, please note that physical Vietnam visa must be in your passport prior to boarding the cruise.

Urgent Visa

If by some chance you do not have any authorization or visa before arriving in the country, ANP Travel can take care of the situation upon your arrival at the airport. Some fees will be charged over and above the usual fees for this service.

VIP Service

If you have booked our VIP Airport Arrival Service, an airport representative will meet you as you disembark the aircraft and take you to the VIP area for immigration formalities. During this time, a member of the airport staff will collect your luggage and then escort you to meet your tour guide.
